I am writing this blog post from the hospital, where I have been with my wife all day. She was just admitted and diagnosed with viral meningitis. I know she will recover, but it is very challenging to see someone you love in pain.

What’s worse than seeing someone you love in pain, is not seeing someone you love in pain. Here is what I mean. My wife asked me to call her mother to have her come be with us in the ER, but she was not able to. She loves her daughter, and was crushed that she could not be there when her daughter needed her. Do you know the reason why? It’s because she isn’t financially free and is “owned” by her job like most people.

I am fortunate that I was there with my wife when she started feeling bad, and was able to see that she needed some immediate medical attention. I was able to take her to the ER and spend the day with her, although I did have to miss a training and have one of my business associates handle some other business for me.

So here is my question to you - “do you have a solid plan to acheive time and financial freedom?” IF you don’t, and you want one, give me a call and I will do my best to help you get on track.

Wishing you the best,

Anthony

P.S. - I appreciate everyones thoughts and prayers for my wife’s speedy recovery.

This isn’t meant to be insulting at all, but you may have heard the saying “you become what you hang around.” Take a look at the company that you keep and see where you are in the mix. Are you the most educated, most organized, most financially savvy, wealthiest, most physically fit? Hey, if you’ve got an ego and you want to hang with people that make you feel good, that’s your decision. BUT, if you want to grow, you’ve got spend time with people who have been where you want to go, conquered the mountains that you sill have in your life, and done what you want to accomplish.

I have several mentors in my life; some I admire for their faith, success n business, discipline, or other factors. I recently made several decisions to help me grow and get to the next level of my personal development. The first is to make a list of the most successful people that I know and want to emulate. Second is to find a way to serve these people to earn their time and attention, and the third is to have a personal life coach. It is one thing to have a mentor, as in someone you look up to, but it’s another thing to have a coach - no matter who you are. You may ask how I can offer to help others get to the next and still need a coach. The fact is that is what qualifies me to do it. I am humble enough to know that the minute I think I have arrived, I am done. I did that once and I will never do it again.

Now it’s your turn. Make a list of your friends and look at what they do, what they represent, what they earn, where they live, their family values, what they earn - the essence of who they are. If you are in good company congratulations. If you find you are the “super star” in your group of friends, I challenge you to go out and makes friends with someone who can challenge you to the next level in life.

Do you feel like you have arrived or done it all? If so, it sounds like you need a new challenge or higher goals in life. Perhaps it’s your time to be the mentor? I will leave you with this; “if your goals and dreams can be accomplished in a lifetime… you need bigger goals and dreams”

What are you doing today to make a difference in your tomorrow?

I can’t take credit for my headline line, but one of my mentors uses it very often. If you spend any significant time in your car, you need to make the best of this time by listening to things that matter. Keep in mind that whatever you feed your mind, you will reproduce. This is what is wrong with this country… too many people care what G. Gordon Liddy, Rush Limbaugh, Adam Corolla, or Howard Sterns have to say. Here is the worst part, they are making a fortune by capitalizing on the small minded nature of people who don’t have an opinion for themselves. I know, I’ve done it now.. I really meant to just encourage people to listen to motivational teachings and books on tape, and my opinions got in the way.

Here is my challenge. If you haven’t read a book in a while, or you “don’t read books” go out and buy Rich Dad Poor Dad on audio book on CD. If you haven’t read it, you need to. From there, learn to enjoy listening to motivational books on CD - it will change your life. And you know what else will happen? Traffic won’t matter. You will realize that you are learning to overcome life’s challenges and those around you will see you as a different person. And if you are worried about losing the friends at the water cooler that talk about what Howard or Adam had to say. Don’t worry, they will still be there is a decade when you have moved on and found success. In fact, they may even be bad mouthing you.

Currently, I am listening to a CD series called “Grace Unedited” by Pastor Jason Anderson. Its’ all about how to enjoy the life that God has given us and not get hung up thinking He is out to get us when bad things happen. Bottom line, bad things will happen in life, how you deal with them depends on your conditioning. I haven’t “arrived” yet and pray that I never feel that I have, or I will be foolishly tempted to stop learning and growing. I will say this, the old Anthony complained a lot more, saw the glass half empty, and used choice words (that I can’t repeat) to try and help himself out of situations when “life happened”. The new Anthony uses THE WORD to get through life’s challenges… and it’s a much smoother ride.

I am guilty of this probably more than the next person. Do you spend too much time checking email because you are expecting replies from people? I have and I do, but the good news is that I am changing my ways!

Here is the deal. There is rarely any difference in getting an email as soon as it comes in and getting it a few hours later. I believe that we have lost the personal touch of phone calls and letters in the information age, and I am not going to let it “own me” any longer.

a few weeks ago, my wife and I traveled to Maryland for a funeral. I had my laptop, but given that I was there for family and friends, I only checked my email at night. You know what? I didn’t lose a dime. In fact, I responses to the few critical emails that were there letting these folks know that I was out of town for a funeral. They offered their regard and I contacted them when I returned. In fact, in the midst of losing someone very close to us, my wife and I ended up enjoying some quality time together.

Here are a few helpful tips:

1. Do not check your email first thing in the morning. That was one of my biggest time sinks. I would go to my email first thing every morning to see who had replied to my emails, and also knowing that much of my client and prospect base is on the East Coast, so they have been working for a few hours already. The best way to start your day is spending time with family, eating a balances meal, exercising, and praying. If you do these things consistently, everything else will fall into line.

2. Pick a few times to check email. Like morning, noon, and afternoon, or evening. You will find that not much changes when you do this. It is rare that someone will send you a critical email that needs a response within minutes. If you do, ask yourself if this is someone you want to do business with because they are obviously not in control of their schedule or business.

3. If you need to find an email as a resource, do not check your email. It will take discipline, but discipline produces character.

4. Don’t feel the need to reply to emails as they come in. This will give the person the impression that you just live on email and don’t actually get any work done. At least that is what I think.

5. Unsubscribe to Email newsletters that you don’t read. I do this every now and again and also delete the unread emails from those subscriptions. I usually results in freeing up lots of email space.

In closing, realize that constantly checking email will keep you busy, but not productive. Productive activities make you money, busy activities inhibit your ability to complete productivity tasks.

I hope that is helpful information. If you want more, please subscribe to this blog by entering your email in the box to the right.

Have a productive day.

Human nature tends to lean towards doing what is easy and avoiding the difficult tasks in life. I once heard someone say “if you do the easy things life will seem hard, but if you do the hard things, life will seem easy.”

Think about that the next time you put off something you know you should do that is going to put you one step closer to success. If you are struggling, get an accountability partner. I have also heard this quote “with accountability, there is no motivation to change”.

Heck, if you really want accountability, get a life coach or a mentor. Why? Because it may just push you to do it. If you paid me $125 per week to make sure you got your to-do list done, I promise you, it would get done. You say money isn’t that important, or $500 per month isn’t a big deal? I’ve got a different program for you (it’s $1,250 per week).

What steps are you going to take today to start getting the hard stuff done. Heck, you can even make it fun if you really try.

Ready for change? Get out a piece of paper and write down all of the things you have been avoiding, but that you know will help make you successful. You know the one’s - writing that letter, calling back that customer, etc. Did I forget email? No, but you should. Trust me, I am a web guy all the way, BUT it is easier for someone to reject you or respond via email in a way that you don’t want to hear. Get on the phone and communicate with your clients and prospects.

The rest is up to you. MAKE IT HAPPEN!

According to the US Department of Health and Human Services, it seems that fewer and fewer Americans are planning well for their futures. Here is the grim outlook of what Americans look like at age 65:

1% are Wealthy. Hooray for them, they did something right of got lucky.

4% are Financially Independent. Before you get excited for them, know that the government uses a figure of $3,000 per month as financially independent. I guess if they did everything else and paid off their homes, they could be ok, but truth be told, it’s not a lot of money.

5% are dead. They are no longer concerned about the money.

36% still have to work. I am sure we all know people in this category. If you don’t, go to your local Walmart as they seem to hire older workers. It really saddens me to see this.

54% are dependent on someone else. These are people who are unable to work and have to depend of family, friends, and the government for their needs. Perhaps you have one of them living with you. That’s not to be insulting, it is a reality check. How many of you planned to enjoy your life with your spouse and kids and now fight with your siblings over who is going to take care of mom or dad? I have seen it and I know a family right now who is split over this issue.

The question for you is “where are YOU going to be?” I know where I will be - I will be doing what I enjoy, spending time with family and friends, and hopefully running our non profit foundation.

If you don’t have a plan to be in the top 1%, I assure you that you won’t be there. If you are wondering how many of the 1% wealthy got wealthy by playing the lottery, the answer is 1% so your odds are not good. that is 1/100th of a percent. Are you willing to gamble your future, and more selfishly your families future?

The good news is that there is an answer, it’s called free enterprise. It means taking charge of your life and building a business. The even better news is that it’s not so hard. The thing about free enterprise is this - you can either embrace it or spend your life working for someone who did embrace it.

Do you want to make a change in your present and future financial situation? If so, call me at 800-453-9290 on my 24 hour voice mail. I will call you back personally as soon as possible. I will find out where you are and how I might be able to share with you some options for getting where you want to go. I can’t help everyone, but I will give everyone the opportunities that others gave me.

Lastly, if you live near Phoenix, there is an inspirational and motivational speaker (Les Brown) coming to Mesa tomorrow and it’s FREE. Les will also share with you how to get your life on track and reach your destiny. If you are interested, you need to register here. I will be working at th event, but please let me know if you are attending, and I will make it a point to meet you personally.

Wishing you the success you deserve!

~ Anthony

“Most people don’t plan to fail… they just fail to plan!”

Do you think obtaining financial freedom is difficult? Many people do, but in reality it’s not. Financial Freedom pretty much boils down to a few simple concepts:

1. Reduce spending.

2. Bringing in more money than your budget requires.

3. Reducing your tax liability.

4. Investing wisely in assets.

The good news is that there is one solution that addresses all of these factors, and that is owning a business whether it is a home based business or not. Let’s look at each of these individually.

Reducing Spending
Reducing spending is a simple one. Well, it is simple to find the problem, it may not be as simple to make the right choices, but take a look at where your finances are and where you want them to be. If you are spending more than you are making, you need to be real with yourself and start making some choices. Another great was to reduce personal spending is to convert your expenses into business expenses

Increasing Your Income
Ok, now that you have reduced your expenses, how does your personal balance sheet (your budget) look now? If you still have more expenses than income, look again to see where you can reduce spending. I am sure you can find more places if you try. If not, let’s look at bringing in more income. Here are your options:

- Get a better paying job.
- Get a Part time job (or a second PT job)
- Start a home based business. The best option, more on this later.

Reducing your tax liability
I am not an accountant, but I will tell you that in my personal experience, the three best ways to reduce tax liability are owning your home, starting a business, and being smart enough to not try and think you can be your own accountant.

It’s pretty common knowledge that a house can give you some great tax breaks, and you need a place to live anyway, so you might as well own, right? Not to mention, right now is a great time to buy given where the market is. Second to owning a home, is starting a business from home. Running your own business gives you lots of additional write-offs and can make some of your personal expenses tax deductible (by converting them to business expenses), AND you can even write off a portion of your rent if you don’t own a home. So here we have another solid vote for owning a business.

You will need to consult a qualified accountant to determine how to best reduce your tax liability and what kind of business structure to establish.

Investing Wisely in Assets
Simply put, assets are investments that produce income. So a home based business would qualify, provided you do it correctly and it produces income. Most business owner fail and the reason is because most go into business without taking time to learn what is involved and how to do it correctly. If you want to learn the A to Z’s of entrepreneurship, I would like to recommend a home study course to you. It will teach you everything you need to know from accounting basics, marketing, raising capital, and so much more. In all, there are over 30 modules jam packed with everything you need to know to get started. This isn’t about me selling you something, it’s about me helping you get to where you want to go. If you’re ready call me at 800-453-9290. If not, stay tuned.. you’ll be ready soon enough.

Until next time…

Have you ever met those folks who lie to themselves and talk about how much they love their jobs, love waking up at 4AM to drive for hours, to work 10+ hours a day, and do it all over again? Or how they really did want to live in the middle of nowhere and have their friends drive 2 hours each way to visit (or not visit because gas is too high)? Perhaps you are one of them?

If that’s you and you really like those long days or being secluded from friends and family, don’t let me rain on your parade. We are all different, and I never want to judge anyone. From what I have learned over my lifetime is that if given the choice, most people would live their lives very differently if the lack of money were not an issue for them.

I agree there are those who just don’t have the discipline to work for themselves, and if you are honest enough to say that, then I commend you. BUT, I still want to challenge you. What if there was a way to create passive income that would grow over time, so that you could perhaps work only 4 days per week, or take more vacations, have more money to help loved ones and friends that fall upon hard times (everyone does… trust me).

Many people don’t understand how to create passive income, and many others feel guilty about it. Some don’t feel they are allowed to have it. Other’s would do just about anything to get it.

The answer is creating assets. According to Financial Guru Robert Kiyosaki, an asset is something that produces income. Many of you are thinking “well, my house if my biggest asset.” I venture to say, if it’s not producing income, it’s not a true asset - even worse, could you cash it in? Could you get cash value out of it TODAY (or has it devalued, or has your credit taken a hit due to the economy?)

For most people, their assets are businesses or income producing real estate. I work with a phenomenal group of successful individuals, and we help people create wealth by building these assets, and reducing liabilities through education and coaching. I can’t tell you how exciting it is to see the light go on for people. When someone decides to no longer be a victim or take action to get out of the rat race and get real with themselves, amazing things can happen.

Do you want more from life? Are you tired ot the same of grind, just to barely pay the bills? Do you want more money than month? If so, take real action and call me. I could spell a bunch of stuff out on a website or blog and most would read it, some wouldn’t believe it worked, and most would still not take any action. If you want to have what you’ve never had out of life, you have got ot be willing to do what you’ve never done before. If you keep doing what you’ve been doing, you’ll keep getting what you’ve been getting.

Are you ready to take action? If so, call me TODAY at 800-453-9290. I want to chat with you about your options. I also want to give you some options. Will I try to sell you something just to sell you something? Not at all. But if you are like the others that I have spoken with, you will drive (or fly) to my house and thank me - of at least buy me dinner. The number I gave you is my 24-hour voice mail, and I will be notified of your call as soon as you leave it. I will call you back at my earliest convenience.

I wish you all the success you deserve!

Often times, people use not having money as an excuse to not start or grow their business. While it is true that a lack of funding is one cause for failure, it doesn’t have to be. After seeing some seemingly-shady information being sold in the marketplace, I decided to put together a guide to share with you some ways to fund your business. In my working with clients, I find that often times the answer is right in front of them, but they fail to see it.

My Business Finance “guide” is broken down into 3 sections:

Section 1 - Finding Money. Where I will expose 5 different avenues that you may not have considered to fund or grow your business.

Section 2 - Borrowing Money. Here you will learn the secrets (8 avenues) to borrowing start up money regardless of your credit, and how to get Angel Investors and Venture Capitalists to say YES!

Section 3 - Creating Money. This is my favorite part because the best money to use to fund your business is YOURS. This is where you learn how to create it and it’s a lot simpler than you would think. Also, if you create it, you don;t have to pay it back which makes your business that much more profitable. Learn 8 strategies that can help you create income to fuel your business.

“Finding Start Up Money for Your Business” is a 7 page guide (8 if you include my bio) - ALL MEAT, NO FLUFF! While I would like to be able to give it away, people often disregard information that they get for free as less than valuable. This guide was written based on over two decades of business experience. I have started, built, and sold countless companies in my lifetime. Not all were the successes that I though they would be, but I learned from every one of them.

The cost is $7 and if you learn to fund your business by reading it, that $7 could turn into MILLIONS! Get it while it lasts! If you don’t have $7, borrow it and pay it back when you implement one of the strategies inside. I welcome your feedback, and I will also offer you a full money back guarantee, if you can honestly say you don’t think it was worth $7 or you didn’t learn a thing from it. Or instead of returning it, I will answer your most pressing business question. This gives you a consulting session valued at $500 for just $7. Click here to buy the guide.

Wishing you more success than you can imagine.
